What we deliver
Commercial curtain packages often need to meet decorative, privacy, room-darkening, fire-performance, durability and operational requirements at the same time. We specify, supply and install curtains, voiles and tracks for commercial buildings and residential developments, including the fixing and operating arrangements that make them work day to day.
Typical applications
- Hospitality-style receptions, lounges and breakout areas
- Schools and colleges, including halls and studios where the specification suits
- Offices and meeting rooms needing softness, privacy or dim-out
- Residential developments, show homes and communal areas
- Care and health settings, where the project's own requirements are confirmed first
Specification points we work through
- Face fabric and lining — appearance, light control and durability.
- Fire performance — whether the project requires FR fabric, and for which areas.
- Heading and fullness — see wave curtains, pinch pleat curtains and our guide to curtain headings.
- Track selection and load — matching the track to curtain weight, width and use.
- Fixing — wall, ceiling or recessed, and what the substrate will support.
- Geometry — straight runs, bays and curves; see bay window curtains.
- Operation — hand-drawn, corded or motorised.
- Cleaning and maintenance — how curtains will be taken down and cared for.
Fire performance
FR fabric options are available on selected contract ranges, and certificates are supplied for the specified fabric. We use current certificates for the exact fabric proposed and never infer performance from a different fabric in the same collection. Where a specification lists fire-performance requirements, we check each fabric against it before proposing it.
Strong solutions
Wave curtains on ceiling or recessed tracks give a clean, even fold that suits contemporary interiors. Sheers and voiles soften daylight and add privacy without darkening a space, and can be layered with a heavier curtain on a double track — see layered window treatments. Blackout-lined curtains help darken meeting rooms or bedrooms, though light can still pass around edges and above the track. Tracks and poles are chosen for load, span and fixing, not just appearance.
Curtains or blinds?
Curtains are not always the right answer in a commercial building. Where space beside the window is limited, where cleaning regimes favour wipe-clean surfaces, or where precise glare control is needed, a roller or vertical blind may suit better. We will suggest the most practical option for each space.
What we need from you
- Drawings or photographs showing the windows and ceiling details
- The specification, including any fire-performance or durability requirements
- Design intent — colour, heading style and how dark rooms need to be
- Whether operation should be manual or motorised
- Access arrangements and programme
Coordination and handover
Tracks often need fixings or ceiling pattresses in place before ceilings close, so early coordination with the contractor matters. On site we fit tracks, hang and dress curtains, and check operation. At handover we supply care and cleaning information, fabric certificates where specified and track details for future maintenance.
