Privacy While Your Shutters Are Made
Made-to-measure shutters take time to produce. If you need privacy in the meantime, ask us about temporary blinds when we prepare your quotation.

A short-term covering while you wait
Shutters are made to measure, which means there is a gap between ordering and fitting. For many homes that is not a problem. But if your old blinds or curtains have already come down, you have just moved in, or you are part-way through a renovation, you may need something at the window in the meantime.
That is where temporary blinds can help. They are simple, lightweight coverings intended to give basic privacy for a short period, until your permanent shutters are fitted.
What temporary blinds are for
- Basic privacy in bedrooms, bathrooms and street-facing rooms
- Covering bare windows after a move or while decorating
- Bridging the time between ordering and fitting
What they are not
Temporary blinds are a stop-gap. They are not designed to give the finished appearance, light control or durability of your shutters, and they are not a blackout product. They are meant to be taken down once the shutters are in.
How to ask about them
Let us know at your shutter survey or when you receive your quotation if you would like temporary blinds. Whether they are available for your order, and for which windows, is confirmed with your quotation. Please do not assume they are included unless your quotation says so.
If you need a longer-term solution for some windows, such as a room you are not fitting shutters in, we can suggest a made-to-measure blind instead.
