What we deliver
Blinds and curtains in busy buildings get heavy use, and aftercare should not stop at installation. We provide repairs, maintenance and replacement for commercial window coverings — including, where parts are available, blinds installed by others — and can help estates and facilities teams plan replacement programmes rather than reacting to failures one at a time.
Services
- Reactive repairs — broken chains or controls, jammed rollers, damaged brackets.
- Replacement parts — controls, chains, safety devices and fittings.
- Replacement fabrics — where the existing system is sound and a compatible fabric is available.
- Damaged blind replacement — matching the existing specification where possible.
- Motor and control diagnostics — for motorised systems.
- Track repairs — for curtain tracks and gliders.
- Planned inspections — checking operation, safety devices and condition.
- Phased refurbishment — replacing blinds floor by floor or building by building.
Repair or replace?
Each service visit records whether a unit can be safely and economically repaired or should be replaced. Some faults are quick fixes; others point to a system that is worn out, unsafe or no longer supported. We explain the reasoning so you can plan budgets rather than paying for repeated repairs on blinds that are near the end of their life. Our advice article on repairing or replacing blinds covers the same thinking.
Safety checks
Older blinds may not have the child-safety devices now required on internal blinds in the UK. During maintenance we check for them and can fit the required devices or recommend a safer system, such as cordless or motorised blinds, where replacement makes more sense.
Records for managed buildings
For clients who want it, we keep a simple record of what is installed: site, building, floor and room, window reference, product, fabric, control or motor, installation date, service history, condition and next recommended action. That makes repeat visits quicker and helps with budgeting for replacement.
Replacement options
When blinds need replacing, it is a good moment to review the specification. Rooms may now need better glare control, blackout or safer operation. Common replacements include roller blinds, vertical blinds and Venetian blinds, with guidance on solar, glare and blackout performance.
What we need from you
- The site address and a contact for access
- A list or photographs of the faulty blinds, with room locations
- Any existing product information or previous installer details
- Access restrictions or preferred times for work
Where we do not hold information on an existing system, we will say so, and we will not guess at the fire performance of an existing fabric. If a replacement needs a certified fabric, we propose a new fabric with its own certificate.
Coordination
We plan visits around building occupancy, and group repairs where possible to reduce disruption and cost. After each visit we confirm what was done and anything still outstanding. To arrange a visit, start a commercial enquiry and choose "Existing building (replacement)" as the project stage.
