Perfect Fit roller blinds fitted to uPVC windows

What we deliver

We work with developers and housebuilders to plan and deliver window-covering packages across single developments, phased plots and larger residential schemes. That can mean a standard blind package fitted to every plot before handover, a more decorative specification for show homes and sales suites, or a mix of blinds and curtains for communal areas.

The aim is simple: a clear, repeatable specification that is priced accurately, fitted consistently and handed over without surprises.

Where we can help

  • Apartments and houses, including repeat house types across phases
  • Show homes and sales suites, scoped separately where the specification is more decorative
  • Build-to-rent and managed residential blocks where durability and easy replacement matter
  • Communal lounges, reception areas and shared spaces
  • Phased handovers where plots complete at different times

Early-stage support

The most useful time to involve us is while drawings and window schedules are still being developed. At that stage we can:

  • review drawings and window schedules and group repeat window types into families;
  • propose a standardised product schedule by room type;
  • highlight specialist glazing early, such as roof lanterns, gable windows, bi-fold doors and large glazed openings;
  • identify where power or controls would be needed if motorised blinds are being considered;
  • flag fixing and recess questions before plasterboard and window boards are finalised.

Settling these points early helps reduce late-stage variations and avoids blinds being specified around windows that turn out not to suit them.

Standardisation

A well-defined standard often does more for cost and programme than any single product choice. Where it is technically appropriate, we help define standard blind types and colours, repeat window families, a consistent bracket and fixing approach, motor and control families if motorisation is included, and a room-by-room schedule. Where a window genuinely needs something different, we say so rather than forcing it into the standard.

Solutions we often propose

Most plot packages are built around roller blinds, with blackout fabrics for bedrooms and moisture-suitable fabrics selected for kitchens and bathrooms. Perfect Fit blinds can suit compatible uPVC windows and doors where drilling into new frames is undesirable, subject to frame checks. Vertical blinds are a practical choice for wide patio doors, and motorised blinds may suit high-level or hard-to-reach glazing. Show homes often add wave curtains or Roman blinds for a more finished look.

What we need from you

  • Site plans, house-type or apartment drawings and window schedules
  • Your specification or finishes schedule, if one exists
  • Plot numbers, phasing and the build programme
  • Whether show homes are a separate scope
  • Any requirements for power, controls or fixing

Partial information is fine at tender stage. We will list our assumptions and clarifications so they can be confirmed. See tenders and estimating for what helps most.

Coordination and handover

On site we work to your programme and site rules and coordinate access with other trades. For plot-by-plot work we track each plot, room and window reference against the product fitted, the install date and any snagging, so handover status is clear. Care and operating information is provided for each product type so it can be passed on to purchasers or residents.

Questions we get asked

Can you price from drawings before plots are built?

Yes. We can price from drawings and window schedules, listing the assumptions we have made. Final measurements are then taken on site once the openings are formed, and any differences are raised before manufacture.

Should show homes be priced separately?

Usually, yes. Show homes and sales suites often have a more decorative specification than the plot-wide package, so keeping them as a separate scope makes both easier to price and manage.

Can you work around phased completions?

Yes. We plan installation around your phasing and programme, and track each plot so it is clear what has been fitted, snagged and handed over.

Do you supply motorised blinds for developments?

Motorised options are available on selected systems. Power, controls and responsibility for cabling need to be agreed early, so we would review this with you at design or tender stage.
