Perfect Fit Blinds

Why people choose them

  • Avoid conventional drilling on compatible installations
  • The blind moves with an opening window or door
  • Useful on suitable French and glazed doors
  • Keeps sills relatively clear
  • A neat, integrated appearance
  • Pleated, cellular, roller or Venetian-style options may be available, depending on the system

Compatibility comes first

Perfect Fit is not universal. Glazing beads, seals, dimensions, handles, panel clearances and the construction of the window or door all have to be checked at the survey.

Some bifold doors are suitable and others are not, so we never promise compatibility from the word bifold alone.

Perfect Fit is also not an integral blind sealed inside the glass unit. It is a frame that clips to the glazing bead.

Light and privacy

Because the frame sits close to the glass, gaps at the edges are smaller than with a conventional blind, which helps privacy. How much light the blind blocks depends on the fabric: blackout fabrics are available on selected Perfect Fit ranges, and they block light through the material, but a Perfect Fit blind will not make a room completely dark.

Made to measure and fitting

Each blind is made to the measurements of the individual glass panel, so every panel is surveyed. We check the depth and profile of the glazing bead, handle positions, and whether a door or window has enough clearance before recommending it. Honest suitability

Is it right for your window?

Every recommendation comes with a reason. Where something else would serve you better, we say so — and suggest what to consider instead.

Where this works well

  • Tilt-and-turn and inward-opening windows Recommended

The blind is attached to the sash and moves with it, so the window opens freely.

  • French and glazed doors Recommended

The blind stays flat against the glass and moves with the door.

  • Homes where drilling is unwelcome

Fits to the glazing bead without conventional drilling into walls or frames.

Worth knowing: Only on compatible windows. Bead depth and profile are checked at survey.

  • Conservatory side windows

Sits close to the glass on each panel and keeps sills clear.

Worth knowing: Roof glazing is a separate specialist job.

Where we’d suggest something else

  • Windows without a compatible glazing bead

Why: The frame needs a suitable bead depth and profile to clip to.

The limitation: Many timber and some older or flush windows are not compatible.

Consider instead: No-drill and conventional blind options

  • Bifold doors without enough clearance

Why: A frame on each panel adds depth, which can clash as the doors fold.

The limitation: Some bifolds are fine; others are not. It is always checked on site.

    Consider instead: Bifold door blinds

  • Rooms that must be completely dark

Why: Even with a blackout fabric, small amounts of light can reach the room.

    Consider instead: Blackout blinds

Fabrics and finishes

The frame comes in colours to suit common window finishes, including white and darker frame colours, depending on the system. Inside the frame you can choose from roller, pleated, cellular, Venetian or Day & Night blinds on selected ranges.

Fabric choices include light-filtering, dim-out and blackout options, depending on the blind type. We bring samples of the frame colours and fabrics to your survey.

Controls

Control depends on the blind inside the frame: pleated and cellular versions are moved by hand along the frame, Venetians tilt with a small control, and roller and Day & Night versions typically use a chain with the required safety device.

Motorisation is available on selected Perfect Fit systems, with rechargeable power options. App or voice control is available only on selected compatible systems, which we confirm before you order.

Child safety

Internal blinds supplied in the UK must meet child-safety requirements, and every blind we fit is supplied with the safety devices those requirements call for, fitted at the correct height.

Many Perfect Fit blinds have no loose cords, because pleated, cellular and Venetian versions are held within the frame. Where a chain is used, the safety device is fitted at the correct height. Selected motorised systems remove the chain altogether.

Whatever the control, keep cots, beds and climbable furniture away from the window. See our guide to choosing safe blinds for family homes.

Compared with the alternatives

No-drill blinds

An overview of every no-drill approach we offer, including frame-fitted systems that may suit windows where Perfect Fit does not.

Roller blinds

Where drilling is acceptable, a conventional roller or pleated blind gives a wider choice of fabrics and larger sizes.

Shutters

An architectural, louvred treatment across the whole window rather than a blind on each pane.

Questions we get asked

Will Perfect Fit work on my windows?

Do Perfect Fit blinds need drilling?

On compatible installations they fit to the glazing bead without conventional drilling into the wall or recess.

Can I open the window with the blind fitted?

Yes. The blind is attached to the opening sash or door and moves with it.
