Blinds, Shutters & Curtains in Hauxton
Hauxton is a small village on the southern fringe of Cambridge. We offer made-to-measure blinds, shutters and curtains, fitted after a home survey.

Hauxton sits on the south Cambridge fringe and appears in South Cambridgeshire planning and service evidence. We don't describe its houses here; we'd rather see your windows than generalise about a whole village.
Questions to ask yourself before we visit
A little thought beforehand makes the survey more useful:
- Which way do the main rooms face? South- and west-facing rooms often need glare control; north-facing rooms may benefit from something that keeps warmth in.
- Who uses the room, and when? A nursery, a home office and a guest room have very different needs.
- How do the windows open? Tilt-and-turn windows, inward-opening doors and bifolds rule out some products.
Products we often discuss
For tilt-and-turn windows, frame-fitted blinds that move with the sash are usually the neatest option, if the frame is compatible. For French doors, blinds that sit on each door leaf avoid clashing with handles. For living spaces, wooden blinds give warmth and control, and shutter-and-shade combinations pair shutters with a fabric blind behind them.
Our service
We measure, supply and fit. Everything is made to your measurements and fitted with the child-safety devices UK regulations require for internal blinds.
Survey and showroom
For a visit to Hauxton, send your postcode via our survey form. The showroom is at 7 Regal Lane, Soham, closed at weekends and on Friday afternoons.
Very large windows
Where a window or set of doors is particularly wide or tall, a single blind isn't always the answer. It may need splitting into two or more blinds for weight or ease of operation, and some systems have size limits that vary by range. Motorisation can make large blinds easier to use, on selected systems. We'll confirm what's possible for your opening at survey rather than guessing from measurements over the phone. Large window blinds explains more.
Where a wide opening must be split, we'll suggest where the joins should fall, ideally in line with the window's own frame divisions, so the result looks deliberate rather than patched together.
