FITtoFRAME Blinds

How it works

The blind is held by beading brackets that fit to the glazing bead, or by an adhesive fixing to the frame, so no drilling or screws are needed on compatible windows. The blind sits within the frame, close to the glass, and on opening windows and doors it moves with the sash.

Blind styles

Depending on the window, FITtoFRAME can be used with pleated and cellular blinds and with 25mm aluminium and wood-look Venetian blinds. The exact fabrics, slats and colours are pending confirmation of the exact range we supply, and we will show you what is available at your survey.

FITtoFRAME or Perfect Fit?

Both avoid conventional drilling and sit close to the glass, but they fix differently. Perfect Fit blinds sit in a slim frame that hooks behind the glazing bead; FITtoFRAME uses beading brackets or adhesive with no surrounding frame. Some windows suit one better than the other. We check the bead, frame and handle clearances and recommend whichever fits your windows properly.

Where it works well

Bifold and French doors, tilt-and-turn windows, new-build windows and rooms where you would rather not drill into the frame or wall.

Compatibility is checked at survey

The shape and depth of the glazing bead, the frame material, handle positions and the size of the pane all affect whether FITtoFRAME can be used. We check every window before recommending it.

Honest suitability

Is it right for your window?

Every recommendation comes with a reason. Where something else would serve you better, we say so — and suggest what to consider instead.

Where this works well

  • Tilt-and-turn windows Recommended

The blind moves with the sash, so the window opens freely.

  • French and bifold doors

Fits to each glazed panel and travels with the door.

Worth knowing: Handle projection and panel clearance are checked on every door.

  • Homes where drilling is not wanted

No drilling or screws on compatible frames.

Worth knowing: Adhesive fixings may leave traces; check with a landlord where relevant.

  • Timber windows or unusual beads Specialist survey

    Compatibility may still be possible.

Worth knowing: Depends on bead shape and depth; checked at survey.

Where we’d suggest something else

  • Wanting motorised operation

Why: FITtoFRAME is a manual system.

The limitation: Motorisation is not available on this system.

    Consider instead: Motorised blinds

  • Traditional sliding sash windows

Why: Sliding sashes do not have the glazing beads this system fixes to, and the sashes pass each other.

The limitation: A bead-fitted blind is not designed for this window type.

    Consider instead: Roller blinds

Fabrics and finishes

Pleated and cellular fabrics in a range of plain and textured colours, and 25mm Venetian slats in aluminium and wood-look finishes, subject to confirmation of the exact range we supply. Samples are brought to your survey.

Controls

FITtoFRAME is a manual system. Pleated and cellular blinds are moved by hand; Venetian blinds use a tilt control. Where you want motorised operation, we would look at a different system.

Child safety

Internal blinds supplied in the UK must meet child-safety requirements, following BBSA guidance, and the blinds we fit are supplied with the required safety devices.

FITtoFRAME pleated and cellular blinds are operated by hand with no hanging cord. Any control is fitted with the required safety device.
