Blinds, Shutters & Curtains in Fordham

Official planning material recognises Fordham as a village with its own context, distinct from Soham, and notes significant housing growth over previous plan periods. It has a conservation area around its historic core and neighbourhood-plan evidence behind it.

Handy for the showroom

Because Fordham is so close to Soham, many customers here like to visit our showroom at 7 Regal Lane before or after a survey. We're open Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 1:00pm. It's worth calling 01223 756519 first to check what's on display.

If your home is newer

A lot of Fordham's recent growth means recent windows. That opens up a few options:

• Perfect Fit or FITtoFRAME blinds on compatible uPVC frames;
• Day & Night blinds for front rooms;
• patio door or vertical blinds for garden doors;
• bedroom blackout, ideally with curtains for the darkest result.

If your home is older

In the historic core, we take extra care over measuring. Softer treatments, such as Roman blinds and lined curtains, or shutters built to the opening, tend to suit traditional rooms, but we'll base any suggestion on the window, not the postcode.

Booking a survey

Enter your Fordham postcode on the free home survey form and we'll confirm a visit.

Using the showroom well

If you do visit, bring rough measurements, photos of your windows and rooms, and any fabric or paint samples you're matching. That helps us show you options that are likely to work. It won't replace the survey, since we still need to measure precisely, but it gives you a head start on colours and styles. Some people prefer to visit after the survey, once they've narrowed down what suits each room; either way works. The showroom page has our address and hours, and we'd always suggest a quick call before setting out so we can make sure what you'd like to see is available.

After the survey, you can also drop in to look again at the fabrics you've shortlisted before confirming an order, which many people find reassuring for bigger rooms.
