Home surveys in Soham

We can arrange a free home survey in Soham. Seeing fabrics in the showroom is useful, but colours and light behave differently at home, so we bring samples to you as well, measure every window and talk through the options in the room itself.

Old town, newer homes

Soham has a conservation area covering its historic town centre, and parts of it are subject to an Article 4 direction. The Soham & Barway neighbourhood plan evidence notes that many listed buildings in and around the historic core date from the 19th century or later. Alongside that historic fabric, the town has grown with plenty of later family housing.

That gives us two quite different kinds of survey. In older properties, we pay close attention to reveals and frames, and customers often lean toward shutters, Roman blinds or pinch pleat curtains. In newer family homes, practical questions come first: child-safe blinds for children's rooms, blackout for bedrooms, and patio door blinds for garden doors.
